Over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May, Slam Dunk Festival returns for another year, showcasing the best in established and up-and-coming alternative bands. The festival continues the trend of previous years with visits to three different locations: Leeds on Saturday 23rd, Hatfield on the 24th and Wolverhampton on 25th. As usual, each day features the same bands and so it’s a great chance for people across the country to catch some of the finest acts currently on the scene.
The organisers have really pulled out the stops this year to produce a fantastic lineup. Headliners You Me At Six will be a great draw for the festival and they play over an impressive undercard, including Taking Back Sunday, Don Broco, Architects, Reel Big Fish, Zebrahead and a whole host of other excellent bands.
The festival is well-organised and actually comes across as quite intimate, definitely recommended if you want to get up-close and personal with some of your favourite bands. All three festival sites have indoor and outdoor stages, plus many stalls selling band merchandise, clothing and plenty of other stuff.
In short, Slam Dunk is definitely a festival you should be checking out, and with the Leeds event moving to a bigger site, it appears to be only on the up. For more information, a closer look at the lineup and ticket information, visit slamdunkmusic.com
