LIVE: Don Broco – 21/02/13 – The Underworld, Camden

A lot can happen in 12 months. This time last year, Don Broco had just signed a record deal with Search and Destroy Records. Following this the boys supported some of the biggest names in British and American rock, played all the big festivals and to top it off, released their debut album “Priorities” ( which reached an impressive number 25 in the album charts). Fast forward to February 2013,the band played their biggest London headline show to date and they killed it.

The second Si Delaney hit the first chord to “Priorities”, the band’s opener, the Camden Underworld exploded. There wasn’t a moment the crowd settled down. It was a high octane, high energy performance from both the band and the audience (The non-stop crowd surfing was something that had to be seen – it was awesome!). Highlights from the set were “Beautiful Morning”, “Actors” and the Broco classic “Thug Workout” (complete with Push-up squad representing). The band closed with an encore of “Yeah Man”, “Hold On” and “Fancy Dress”.

Overall, an excellent set. I know I say this all the time, but this was without a doubt, my favourite Don Broco gig to date. I look forward to Koko next month.
