Introducing Quiet Lions

Brighton/London based four-piece Quiet Lions aren’t quite the newcomers they appear, formed partially of members from Jumping Ships. After the breakup of Ships; Michael Williams, Richard Thorp and Oli Austen set about writing new material straight away, recruiting local producer and multi-instrumentalist Luke Holmes and in 3 months demoed 12 songs.

Debut 6 track EP ‘Surroundings’ was recorded by Quiet Lions and Chris Coulter (Arcane Roots) and mixed by Jag Jago (Ghost of a Thousand/Maccabees).

First single ‘Are You Well?’ is a song that front man Michael describes as one of the hardest he has had to write.

Previously I would shroud the real meaning of my music in metaphor – but for this EP I thought that I would wear my heart on my sleeve.

‘Surroundings’ is self-released on the 4th November through TableTalk records.
