After 16 weeks of bedroom based shows from up and coming talent, the industry expert judges – Daniel P Carter, Ben Patashnik, Andy Copping, Becky Sugden – have made their decision as to which Red Bull Bedroom Jam bands will play this summers festivals. Five-piece post-hardcore group, Golden Tanks have been chosen as the Wild Card band after impressing all the judges with the track they entered with, ‘Midas Touch’. As a result, last week the Bedroom Jam film crew headed to their hometown to record this week’s episode:

During the time off between Bullet For My Valentine albums, frontman and chief songwriter Matt Tuck grew restless. He recruited Jason Bowld, Martyn ‘Ginge’ Ford, Liam Cormier, Mike Kingswood and Joe Copcutt to form metal supergroup AxeWound.

A strict code of silence prevailed around the band as finishing touches were added to their debut album. The lead track ‘Post Apocalyptic Party’ is available for free from the band’s website at AxeWoundUK.com.

The album will be released this summer and the band will play 2 exclusive UK shows together – headlining the O2 Academy in Islington on Wednesday June 6th and appearing as special guests at the legendary Download Festival on Friday June 8th.
