A lot has happened for the Buckinghamshire quintet since the release of “All Our Kings Are Dead” – they’ve played the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals, performed on the second stage at the Download Festival and headlined the legendary Kentish Town Forum in London. Between all this, the band have been recording “Bones”, the follow up album to AOKAD.
“Bones” doesn’t have that heavy rock edge compared to AOKAD. It has a more anthemic stadium feel to it – Not that this is a bad thing. Opener “I Was Born, I Have Lived, I Will Surely Die” sets the tone for the album. The Catchy lyrics, massive guitar riffs, thudding bass line and sharp drum beat all mix to create that big epic sound. Highlight tracks include “Everything Ends”, “Learn My Lesson” and title track “Bones”. As well as being the title track, it’s the best song on the album. The track delivers on all aspects – not only do you get the old rocky Young Guns sound that we’re all used to, but also the big stadium sound which the band are introducing to the listener.
Overall, a brilliant second album. Pick it up and have a listen, you won’t regret it!
