After meeting at last year’s LEEDS and READING Festival, pop punk legends BLINK 182 have confirmed YOU ME AT SIX as main support for their Arena tour this year.

Life-long fans of Blink 182, the band said “We are unbelievably excited to announce that we are supporting Blink 182 on their Arena tour this year. This fulfils all of our child dreams! GET YOUR TICKETS IMMEDIATELY!”.

Recent months have delivered a steady stream of career landmarks in YOU ME AT SIX’s ascension to the top. Their second album ‘Hold Me Down’ (which debuted at number 5 early last year) perfectly displays the band’s increasingly sophisticated ability to blend devastating dynamics with immediate pop-fuelled hooks and intense lyrical themes. All the singles have been A Listed at Radio One and ‘Liquid Confidence’ earned the band the coveted 2010 Kerrang Award for ‘Best Single’.

The boys’ subsequent nationwide tour last March saw them play to an audience of over 25,000 people and culminated with their first sold-out headline show at London’s Brixton Academy. Continuing public demand to see the band in action sparked confirmation of the second YOU ME AT SIX UK tour of 2010.

Following on from an incredible 2010, YOU ME AT SIX are set to support Blink 182 on their UK arena tour in July.
